Our company wanted to envision a way for service techs to have better tools for their day-to-day work. We also wanted to showcase the kinds of apps that can be built on Windows 8 using the modern design language.
This solution was really about finding a way to increase data density from what users might see in many Windows 8 applications without losing the mobile-first feel. I focused on the workflow of a service tech going out to service elevators at a specific building. The app allows the tech to review documentation and manuals, assign parts, and review his or her work before submitting a report.
